WAITING CHILDREN OF HAITI
The children featured below are only a few of the many
children living at the three orphanages where we work. Many more
children are available and typically referred to adoptive parents once
the dossier is completed. Our orphanage in Port Au Prince provides care
to children 0-4 years old and does not allow us to
photolist the children in their care. They provide a child referral
when your dossier is submitted.
A Love Beyond Borders is currently accepting applications for our Haiti
program. Please note that at this time we are only accepting
applications for families that meet Haiti’s adoption
criteria. The criteria are as follows:
Single
parents and married
couples.
If married, must be married at least 10 years or
have proof of co-habitation + marriage for a total of 10 years
No biological children
(adopted children currently acceptable)
HOW OUR PHOTO LISTING WORKS:
Due to confidentiality issues to protect
the child's best interest, detailed information (medical, social
information, name, etc) on the child is provided only
to clients of this agency who have met certain pre-adoption
requirements and are at the appropriate place in the adoption process
to receive a child's referral. This includes a preliminary application
on file at the office which meets the current criteria for the program
and a completed or nearly home study. You do not need to
submit an adoption contract to learn more about a specific child, but
must have an application on file. To submit an application to begin an
adoption of a child from Haiti or another country served by A Love
Beyond Borders, please contact us. An adoption coordinator will contact
you to discuss the adoptive parent criteria, share information on the
waiting child, explain the key steps, and how to proceed with your
adoption should you choose to adopt through A Love Beyond Borders.
The
children featured on our website are in the relinquishment/abandonment
process. Please note that infants and toddlers are frequently available
from Haiti, but do not typically get photo listed. Please
contact us if you are interested in a young referral.
